{Dessert Contributor} Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

October 5, 2013 By Dana DeVolk 1 Comment

Hi everyone! My name is Dana from This Silly Girl’s Life and I’m so excited to be a new dessert contributor here on Sugar Bee Crafts! Today I’m sharing with you this recipe for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chips Bars! They are so decadent, moist, chewy… a real crowd pleaser!

These are very similar to the vanilla blondies I made in my Death by Vanilla dessert, but you know with more peanut buttery chocolatey goodness, wow oh wow!

Ingredients

recipe adapted from here

2 1/4 Cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 Cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), softened
3/4 Cup granulated sugar
3/4 Cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
2 large eggs
2 bags peanut butter and milk chocolate chips, mixed

Directions

1. Pre–heat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir so ingredients are combined. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until combined with a hand mixer. Add the eggs one at a time, beating until mixed thoroughly each time. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture. When this is combined thoroughly add the morsels and stir in with a spoon or spatula.
4. Place mixture into a greased 13x9x2 inch dish. Bake 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (unless you hit a chocolate chip, hehe). Let cool on a wire wrack in the dish.

5. Cut up in bars and enjoy!
